We tested a lot of wireless bras this past year, and landed on Cosabella's Free Cut Micro Tall Triangle Bralette as the best of the best for its barely-there feel, super soft fabric, and durability.

"If I had to choose one bra to wear for the rest of my life, it would be this one," says WH associate fashion and commerce editor Lily Wohlner. While it's definitely a bit pricey for one bra, she says it's the softest one she's ever worn (!!). According to her, this feature alone makes the hefty price worth it.

Some bras can make your boobs pop out in certain places or make them look bigger than they actually are. But this one from Cosabella holds the girls right in place and keeps them comfortable and snug all day long. Thanks to its tall triangle, non-padded cups, it offers full coverage without accentuating the appearance of your boobs. "IMO, it actually makes my boobs look smaller because there's no bulky wire or padding," says Wohlner.

She also adds that this bra works with any outfit because it's so thin. You can wear it with a tank top, throw it on under a summery dress, and the list goes on. Plus, it comes in many different skin-like colors, so it seamlessly blends in under a shirt.

Lastly, Wohlner notes that this bra does not show signs of wear and tear after washing. She says that, even after a wash and dry sesh, it looks and feels brand new.

However, because there is zero padding, she does mention that it's not as supportive as other bras on this list. In other words, this option may not make your breasts as perky-looking when compared to others below.

I'd say most bra-wearers have the goal of being braless—or at least feeling like they are—which is why this number by Parade comes in handy. After testing, we think Parade's supportive scoop neck bralette is so comfortable, you'll forget you have it on. To add some lift, the bra is designed with wider straps that help it hold your breasts in place more easily.

We also love that this bra is sustainably-made with recycled materials and has a minimal carbon footprint. But, the fabrics don't slack on softness. Plus, they hug the body with a bit of compression to give your chest a more flattering shape. It surprised us that this bra feels like wearing nothing at all, but still manages to hold everything in place.

One caveat, though: we felt like it stretched out after many uses. That may or may not be a good thing, depending on how snug you like your fit to be.

As a personal fan of this bra, Wohlner, says this Skims bra is her everyday go-to because of how soft and comfortable it is. It leans more towards the stretchy side, but the straps are adjustable, which helps to keep the tatas in place. It runs a bit small, so it's best to size up if you have a larger bust.

"I wear this bra at least three times a week because of how comfortable it is," says Wohlner. "It doesn't give you that dreaded uniboob look—it actually makes the girls look perky and held in place, despite the fact that it doesn't have cups." Whether she's wearing a sweater or a sweatshirt, Wohlner says this bra always comes in handy when she wants to be comfortable without looking like she's wearing her lazy girl bra.

Another note to keep in mind: The fabric is a bit thin, so don't be surprised if your nipples poke through the bra. There's also no back clasp, so you can't adjust the band fit if you want it a bit more snug.

This style does tend to sell out quickly, so make sure to keep that in mind—you can always join the waitlist if your size is out of stock. But, the brand does tend to re-stock its sizes very quickly.

Some of us with bigger breasts found that it's supportive enough and shapes our chests nicely without the dreaded "uniboob" effect. Those with smaller breasts should seek other options, though, as this bra is specifically made for busts 36C and up.

The wireless bra is made with four-way stretch fabric, which keeps it from feeling too snug, and special knit-in zones that offer targeted support. After wearing it for a few weeks, she notes that it's extremely supportive. She says that it feels like a sports bra, but doesn't slack on shape. However, it doesn't have that super tight, compressive feel.

One caveat to be weary of is that the band can feel pretty snug and it has a strong tendency to curl up. It can be annoying to flatten it out throughout the day, so it's something to take into consideration.

If your boobs tend to get sweaty no matter how cold it is outside, this bra may be a great option for you. It's designed with a little mesh cutout between the breasts to provide much-needed airflow to the girls. After a few weeks of testing, we think this bra feels lightweight, durable, and supportive. It packs a seriously barely-there feel. In fact, one of our testers, whose a size 38D, says it feels like you're not even wearing anything. She's bought three of these bras because they've turned out to be her favorite one ever. She bought a large and it fit perfect, especially because there is a stretchy mesh fabric in the front and band.

We did find that the padding in the cup area tends to roll a bit, so that's something to keep in mind if you're planning to get a lot of movement in while wearing this bra. We also found that the cups are a bit small and don't fit over the entirety of our breasts.

Just so ya know—side-boob is totally normal. But if you want a bra that smooths it out under your clothes, this Warner's option is it. Thanks to its side-smoothing panels, it has a lifting effect to give your breasts that perfectly round shape under your tops. It's built with light padding that doesn't shift around, and the straps are a little wider for added support and lift.

We find that this bra holds our side boob and front overload in. It looks great under T-shirts and it's so soft and comfortable. Another pro? This bra comes in many skin-like colors to complement all different skin tones.

Unfortunately, we do notice that the bottom band rolls up with excessive movement, which is something you should consider if you're looking for an everyday bra. Still, we agree that the bra is a great quality buy at a semi-affordable price.

Those who have thrown on a pair of Maidenform leggings know how flattering and comfy they are. And this Maidenform demi bra, which has low cups and covers a smaller part of your chest, is no different. It lifts and shapes your breasts using a light-but-snug lining that won't irritate your boobs.

We think this is a good option even if you're smaller-busted. But, it tends to run small and it doesn't offer full coverage, so it may be better to size up if you're bigger busted.

The bra is designed with molded cups, so if it's too large for you, there may be some unsightly gapping between your breasts. For the price, it's a good find, but it's not the most adjustable—again, it all comes down to finding the right sizing.

A favorite of WH editor-in-chief Liz Plosser, this wireless bra from Negative Underwear delivers shape, feels airy and, and comes in plenty of color and sheerness options. It also feels next-level comfortable. "It’s all I wear," says Plosser, who adds that Negative Underwear is her fave brand. "Its items are super comfy, durable, and they have the absolute cutest sporty chic styles."

While it's extremely lightweight, it also fits a little snug—on some people it can even appear as a minimizer bra. Plus, it's one of the most chic (and sexy) options on this list .

Why does my bra roll up under my breasts?

Small cup size

If your bra rolls up under your breasts, the most likely reason is that the cup size is too small, Amelia Newman, intimates technical designer at Adore Me says. "There is not enough fabric and/or the fabric is not stretchy enough to cover the breast volume, so it lifts up under the breasts."

Improper fit

Think about the last time you got your bra size measurements. It's probably been a while, right? If you're wearing the wrong-sized bra, it's bound to roll up. "The key to a well-fitting bra lies in understanding your correct size, which involves measurements for both the band and cup," Mangiarotti says.

People with long torsos may also have trouble finding the right fit, Newman says. "I would recommend checking if the straps are properly adjusted, and if the bra is still lifting then you should go up one cup size," she suggests.

You should also be weary of a band that's too tight, Mangiarotti adds. "If your bra band feels like it's squeezing you or causing indentations, it's time to go up a size. A snug-yet-comfortable band is crucial for providing the necessary support without causing discomfort."

Strap tension

Tight straps might seem like a solution for extra lift, but they can actually contribute to the roll-up issue, says Mangiarotti. When your bra straps are too tight, that can cause the band to ride up in the back—yet another reason why you should get proper measurements from a bra fitting expert.

Do wireless bras offer good support to large breasts?

Wireless bras can give good support to large breasts, but it depends on the bra's level of coverage, fabric, and design, says Newman. When it comes to design, a plunge neckline will typically be less supportive, Newman adds. "The more on show the breasts are, the less fabric there is providing support and lift." If you're looking for a wireless option with loads of support, you can also try opting for a sticky bra, says Mangiarotti. Their reusable adhesive can offer a ton of coverage and lift.

What are the disadvantages to wearing a wireless bra?

Wireless bras can be great for comfort, but there are a few disadvantages compared to bras with wires. For example, they often provide less lift and silhouette than other structured bras, Mangiarotti says. "Nevertheless, modern wireless bras incorporate innovative designs that create impressive lift and shape," she adds.

Underwired bras are also better for creating a separation of the breasts, but with wireless options that's usually only achievable if you opt for molded cups. Some wireless bras also tend to lose their shape the more you wear them. Shopping for a bra with quality materials can help extend the lifespan of the bra.

Finally, Mangiarotti says that the size ranges of wireless bras may not be as inclusive as other more structured designs. "[This may] make it difficult for plus sizes and those with large breasts to find a wireless style that fits them," she says.
