Can we talk about the artwork of this series, please?!?!!! I can not with how UTTERLY GORGEOUS it is! The vivid colors are so aesthetically pleasing, especially to someone whose artistic style is “unicorn who farts glitter and rainbows,” ie. ME!

I found out (via the internet) that the boys (and now girls) have real names and aren’t only Jock, Prep, Nerd & Goth. Those names just aren’t in the books at all.

Which I kinda love. When I go forward reading I’ll have something else to call them… in my head, obviously. Since it won’t be in the comic at all.

I loved the addition of the new poly quad in the story, as well as Kevin’s family. His older sister is the Jock of their group and the glue that holds them all together. I still love the boys more, but the girls are just SO CUTE!

My favorite part of volume 2 was all of the characters in chibi form (I want them as stickers) and the short story rendition of The Little Mermaid with the boys playing different characters from the story, but still ending up together. 😱😍

This was an even better volume IMO than the first and I’m interested to see how the story progresses. Thanks to WebToons Unscrolled for gifting me a copy of the finished book.

I read this on the WebToon app and enjoyed every bit of it. It was very sweet seeing how all of the boys handled whatever issues came their way, and how effective they all are with communicating. It was adorable seeing all of the boys go back home with Jock (Kevin) and met his mother and older sister. I also really enjoyed meeting the Girlfriends and seeing all of their different relationships and interactions with the Boyfriends. If the Girlfriends ever got a spin-off series, I’d read it in asap.
Overall, this is a very sweet and wholesome series to read and I’m eager to see what else happens with all of the characters.

I'm so glad I picked this up not long after finishing the first volume. Although I did power reread this series while I was waiting for this volume to get delivered. Just like with the first volume, you'll be able to read all the volumes online, for free, on Webtoons. But the bind up graphic novels are so good and buttery matte soft! I really love returning to this series, these character whenever I need a little serotonin boost. It's just a funny, charming time! However, my only issue with this series is definitely that none of the characters have names and go by their stereotypes like jock, prep, goth, etc... I wish they would have names especially since in this particular volume we meet the female/femme presenting characters. It would have been really helpful if that had name and it would also allow readers to connect with the characters more. Overall, I really enjoy this series and I'll just be sitting her, waiting for volume three to release! I can't wait to have them all side by side because the covers are honestly stunning and I love them so much!

Absolutely love this comic! The characters are so fun and the idea is unique and playful. The art is really vibrant as well which makes reading it all the more enjoyable. I think the small slices of their life as the chapters flows really smoothly. Will definitely be reading Vol 3 (and more online!)

Even though it’s controversial I really enjoy being able to sit back and just get the happy side of things it’s entertaining and cute

I read this as it released on Webtoon and what fun it was to revisit these characters !! I love how the author expands the world and introduces family and friends as the series goes on!

Volume 2 of Boyfriends continues to be an adorable, comfortable read. There's no deep plots or super in depth characters, but that's okay -- it's not trying to be that kind of work. It's a cute, feel-good, slice-of-life.
We do get to learn more about the 4 boys, and some of their characteristics and backstories start to flesh out .
We also have the introduction of the Girlfriends, an all female polycule, which added fun characters to bounce off the boys.

I will say one thing I noticed more in Vol. 2 was how much I love the color palette and how well it blends across the different characters and scenes. It's very pastel heavy, but it still allows the Goth black to tie in and be amplified. It's really a cute, vibrant, fun vibe.

If you enjoyed Boyfriends Vol. 1, then you'll likely find Vol. 2 another fun read. If you didn't like Boyfriends Vol. 1, then I doubt this volume would change your mind.

"Boyfriends." Webtoon fan review incoming in 3, 2, 1... So I've been following refrainbow's "Boyfriends." since it was picked up as a Webtoon Original a few years back! I love keeping up with updates for this Webtoon, so I'm actually farther along in the story as I write this review, but I will say I hadn't realized it was being physically bound and published! That's so exciting to me and I will be picking up volume 1 stat. So this was a treat to find on NetGalley as an arc! It was such a joy reading this volume and going back to the beginning of this sweet polycule relationship! I have a lot of love for these guys and also equally love the "Girlfriends" too and this is when they're all introduced and the couples become friends! 😆 This is such a great, quick story to pick up too since it's a short form comic style and it always finds the guys in such fun to read relationship situations. Though it really is hilarious to read at times, refrainbow does a great job at showing the struggles each character goes through that make them so relatable and has them support each other in such a loving, healthy way. We're here for depicting queer relationships in a joy-filled and loving light! So loved going back and getting to re-experience the joy I felt reading this Webtoon the first time. HIGHLY recommend!

Senior year has never been this charmingly chaotic! In "Boyfriends Volume Two," Jock, Goth, Nerd, and Prep return with more love, giggles, and smiles. It's like the sitcom you wish was your life, complete with polyamorous adventures, quirky habits, and the introduction of the Girlfriends. Buckle up for another semester of romance and college-level absurdity!

Before I saw something about this being published, I had never heard of this Webtoon, so it’s safe to say that I’m so glad that I did discover BOYFRIENDS. This was such a fun read that I ended up reading the equivalent of 100 Webtoon episodes in a day and a half because I was having so much fun reading about Goth, Jock, Nerd, and Prep! While the characters play on some typical character archetypes, I think all of them standout, and make such a fun story, and one of the best poly couples I’ve seen in contemporary fiction! The art of the story is also so fun (and the meta-chapters were extra gorgeous) and fits the vibes so well while also making everything super readable. I also loved how volume 2 introduced the girlfriends (and am secretly hoping there might be a webtoon about them in the future). Definitely a cute, fun, and very gay story that’s worth the read!

Also sidenote but a gay poly couple with gay, bi, pan, and trans characters plus a sapphic poly couple from the supporting characters is lowkey everything to me!

I got the first volume of Boyfriends to read so when I saw this one come up on Netgalley, of course I had to grab it! I absolutely love seeing them grow closer and more comfortable in their polycule. I also enjoyed seeing the Girlfriends with the exact same types 🤣🤣

This volume had so many hilarious moments in it, I was squealing happily the entire time, because I'm sorry but Goth not knowing what a credit was HILARIOUS.

I also absolutely loved that they were playing animal crossing and that an intervention needed to be had to get prep off the couch and off the switch. I also loved the Little Mermaid piece!

Seeing queer relationships depicted in such a healthy way is amazing. They're learning how to support themselves and each other when one struggles and it's beautiful.

My only gripe was Webtoon putting the copyright over the entire image several times as it made it super hard to read. There also seemed to be a few typos but overall it was super cute and I can't wait to read the next one!

Technically not out, but I am kinda binging the WebToon and want to add the record of it to my shelves~ This was another fun 50-ish episodes! Tons of swoony moments, some college/uni stuff and I just love how they all help each other out with various aspects, there are some fun games played on Switches and the likes and also tons of kisses following that, Nerd finds out that the occult club isn't THAT kind of club which had me in stitches, there are cute cats (and boys wearing cat ears which was just *dies*), Jock's mom is precious, we meet the opposite of the boys and I just loved that, ANIME CROSSINGGGGG, THAT FANNNNFFFFIICC YASSS!, and there is more!! I loved this one! SO many swoony/smexy/sexy moments~ Eep! These boys! And that ARTTTTT! So pretty!!!

Keeps getting better. I love Goth. They really are my favorite but that just may be because they match my style and interests. But Nerd is adorable too...with the ever changing hair color and the "I'm not so innocent behind closed doors" attitude...I really am a blend of those too. These chapters bring about more challenges of school, life and getting comfortable and familiar with the polycule - and it helps that the boys have now met another queer poly group of Girlfriends (funny enough composed of the same types: jock, goth, prep, and nerd). Yet again, Refrainbow, you have done an amazing and beautiful job with the art and story and I am so excited to keep reading of the adventures of my favorite Boyfriends <3

Boyfriends. Volume 2 is such a fun, high energy graphic novel!

As we continue the story of Nerd, Prep, Goth, and Jock, we dive deeper into their individual personalities as well as their personal backgrounds and family lives. We also watch their relationships with each other grow stronger with each chapter.

The overall vibe of this volume was much stronger than the previous volume. You can tell that the author worked very hard on developing the storyline and the character dynamics in this volume. It was such a fun read and I truly enjoyed it. I can't wait for the story to continue in Volume 3!

I adore this story, the art style is so cute and colorful. I love all the characters and how healthy their relationship is. The little awkward moments and the good humor make it even better.

While the characters have different aesthetics and personalities they all work so well together and care so much for each other. I loved reading the cute moments just as much as the funny chaotic moments.

Last summer I got the first volume of Boyfriends to read and I read it on a rainy day. I read this volume on a snowy night. I guess I will keep reading this series during inclement weather.

Boyfriends 2 continues the day-to-day lives of Jock, Goth, Nerd, and Prep as their polycule grows closer. Incredible cuteness happens. There are some new characters. There's a Little mermaid AU. It's just a sweet comic full of sweetness and cuteness.

Pairs well with hot chocolate on a snowy winter night.

The art is amazing and the fact that the four main characters are very distinct from each other but have overlap in their personalities is great too! The humour is placed at the right time, seriousness is felt when dealing with issues/character struggles, seeing characters develop and be heard is very touching too.

I’ve been following the series since season 1; if you have [Line] Webtoon, consider using coins to fast pass to advance episodes to support this wonderful artist! You really won’t regret it!!

Boyfriends Volume Two is the continuing adventures in dating of our favorite polycule Nerd, Jock, Prep, and Goth. The group is now officially boyfriends! I adore this comics series so much, the artwork is beyond cute and the college slice of life warms my heart. I really enjoy how all of the characters really mesh well together and discover themselves more once they step out of their comfort zones to support one another. I hope to see more from refrainbow in the future. Such a sweet and fun graphic! I love seeing it in print form.

I read this on webtoon and was excited that you can get physical copies now in stores. Where do i begin ? I just love all the characters and dynamic between them. I love how wholesome and cute it is. They are all different but , still it works well together. Its my first time reading about a poly relationship but , i love how they are able to communicate with one another im such a healthy way. Will continue reading it :)

I can't get over how adorable Boyfriends is. I'm usually not one for poly romances but I saw a few panels of the comic and it was so cute I decided to check it out. It was impossible to not fall in love with how sweet and wholesome it is. These boys are so lovely and supportive of each other and the art is fantastic. I'm excited for the next book to come out to find out if they figure out how to kiss.

Es lindo ver a estos 4 chicos en diferentes escenarios, eso sí, los personajes de las chicas (que poquito a poco están apareciendo) no me termina de convencer, creo que no son tan necesarias, y más cuando ya tenemos estos chicos que ya les tengo cariño y que cada uno ya tiene su brillo.

The second collected volume of web comic Boyfriends, this graphic novel is sweet and funny. I sped through it in one setting absolutely delighted by the continuing relationship between all four leads. Sometimes all you want it to curl up with a soft slice of life and this is the exact material to hit that urge. An absolute delight all around.

I mean seriously it's just so cute, and I absolutely love the color palette of the entire series, and the couples. I read this series on webtoon and absolutely loved it and I decided to re-read on webtoon so I can add it to my good reads goal but I hate how the series is over with.

This was such a good follow-up to the first volume! I enjoyed it just as much. It was so much fun revisiting these characters, and getting to know new ones as well! All in all, it was a highly enjoyable read and the art remains as cute as ever!
